Fast track

Hey how's everyone holding up?  I hope you are all well and safe and healthy.

Consider this my redemption blog and yes, you can all point this out as a result of being quarantined at the moment and also because I just miss writing. I really do.

Ok, so fast track six years after.  I am now 40 years old and had to edit my description from a mama of one to now a mama of two!  Two beautiful babies (I still call my eldest daughter baby.  She's 10).  I am still tied up as a working mama and enjoying every bit of it.

About a month and a half ago, our government placed our country to Enhanced Community Quarantine as a measure to mitigate the spread of a deadly virus called the Coronavirus.  Not sure why people coined Corona and virus as one word but, yes, it's a big one and currently blowing up the entire world's economy, obviously mortality and social dependency.  Wearing of mask is mandatory and 2-meter social distancing is imposed whenever one goes out to a public place (limited to supermarkets or pharmacy).  At the moment, there is no official vaccine for the virus that attacks the upper respiratory system making everyone vulnerable and susceptible.  I said social dependency because literally, it's our only defense we have from getting this virus.  Everyone's locked in their homes which means, right now I work at home and around with my kids 24-7.  How AWESOME is that.  Lol!  What a blessing for me.

Coronavirus is spreading worldwide and it keeping itself busy, thus WHO declared this as pandemic.  My 40 years of existence.  Never in my life.  Everyone says, it's like a movie and yes, that's exactly what I'm feeling right now.  I still could not fathom this is happening.  It's scary.  But - life must go on.  I had to find a silver lining in a bunch of stormy clouds.  Actually, not just one lining but it's more linings and not in plain old silver color.  For me, it comes in rainbows and unicorns, confetti colors.  It's just me.  I just want to refocus and rethink and recondition my mind.  Things will get better, things will get better.  Soon...Let's just all be patient and be informed and pray.

I am good.  My family is well.  Amidst the mess, everyday is a blessing, a miracle being able to wake up, alive and healthy.  We are all blessed in so many ways.  We just need to count em one by one.  Of course my heart goes out to all the people who have lost their loved ones, those who are sick and those taking care of our sick brothers and sisters.  Hang on.  Keep strong.  Me and my family are praying for you.

Love all,
Cher

It's my birthday

It's 5:33 in the morning. Nothing like waking up on your birthday morning! Yaas, it is my time to shine this pandemic period and what a reason to celebrate! There's so many reasons to be specially grateful. Last night I had my early birthday cake candle-blowing ceremony with my loves. Hubby and his accomplice (he now has one, I didn't realize that) my first born, Una gave me this little surprise. Aww...sweetest! You got it. I'm forty-one. Embracing every moment of it. Thank you, God, for choosing to give me a full forty-one years of life. I have nothing to ask for except long years spent with the gifts you've blessed me, my loving husband and my two beautiful kids Una and Dua. You have beautifully written my life as planned and beyond blessed to be a testimony of how grand You are and of how great Your love is. Thank you, my Savior, Jesus Christ. Now, I'm going to get my fresh cup of Hazelnut brewed coffee...and cozy up wit...

Hello October

My favorite month. Finally on my two-day leave from work...to laze around and ha blog! I am back! Journaling is always both an art and therapy. My appreciation with literary – the reading and writing part- is I think part of who I am. I grew up with my grandmother and aunties’ bookshelves of fiction novels and self-helps and so I would sneak and pull a paperback not sure if I understood all the words written but just kept going. Until I fell in love with it. Expressing my self through words is almost second nature. How I lovingly elaborate my feelings through weave of words in my little diary at the age of 10. It’s therapeutic and relaxing. It’s beautiful and bold at the same time lingering and lasting. There is something about October that’s warm and inviting and so I hope, truly hope to write as long as I can. Can you feel the cool breeze yet? Ahhh...the ‘ber’ months.
